The selection for these applications is entirely based on the unique properties of fluororubber:
Exceptional high-temperature resistance: Capable of sustained operation at 200°C, with short-term exposure tolerating 250°C or higher. This surpasses the capabilities of rubbers such as NBR and EPDM. Outstanding chemical and oil resistance:
Resists the vast majority of oils (mineral oils, synthetic ester oils, gear oils) and fuels (petrol, diesel). It exhibits good resistance to numerous organic solvents (e.g., alcohols, ketones, esters), acids (e.g., weak acids, nitric acid), and alkalis. Good ageing and weather resistance: It demonstrates excellent resistance to ozone, oxidation, and climatic ageing, ensuring a long service life. Good mechanical properties: It maintains good elasticity and compression set recovery even at elevated temperatures.
