Cleaning and Degreasing
Regularly wipe the surface with a soft cloth dipped in a neutral detergent solution (such as diluted dishwashing liquid) to remove oil stains and dust. Avoid using organic solvents like alcohol or acetone, as they can cause rubber swelling or cracking.
Summer Note: After rain, promptly dry seals exposed to rainwater (e.g., door seals) to prevent corrosion from acidic rainwater. Anti-Aging Measures
Avoid Light and Heat: Prolonged exposure to sunlight accelerates aging. It is recommended to install sunshades or apply rubber protectants (containing UV-resistant components) on outdoor equipment (e.g., window and door seals).
Current Seasonal Recommendations: When parking, prioritise shaded areas. Interior seals can be periodically sprayed with silicone-based maintenance spray. Lubrication and Anti-Adhesion
Dynamic seals (e.g., refrigerator doors, sliding window seals) should be lightly coated with silicone grease or glycerin every quarter to reduce friction. Avoid using petroleum-based lubricants (e.g., Vaseline), as they may cause rubber expansion.
