What affects the low temperature performance of NBR?
19/02/2025News
The low temperature performance of NBR is mainly affected by the following factors.
Acrylonitrile (ACN) content: the lower the ACN content, the better the low-temperature performance, but the decline in oil resistance.
Plasticising system: it is necessary to choose the ester plasticiser which has good compatibility with NBR and low migration in low temperature.
Vulcanisation system: peroxide vulcanisation can improve low temperature resilience.
Filler and antioxidant: Reduce the amount of carbon black, use silica or nano-filler to reduce molecular chain friction. Technical route: low ACN content NBR → ester plasticiser → peroxide vulcanisation → functional filler → low temperature performance test.
