There are many varieties of liquid rubber, almost all varieties of synthetic polymer rubber have corresponding liquid rubber. Liquid rubber has the characteristics of low molecular weight, wide range of body viscosity, diversified structure of polymerization chain, vulcanization and curing method with different functional groups. The basic properties of the polymer chain of liquid rubber are similar to those of the corresponding polymer rubber, so it can be reinforced, oil-filled and vulcanized in a similar way. The various functional groups of liquid rubber can interact with epoxy resins, amines, isocyanates, etc. to form a variety of structures ranging from elastomers to plastomers. Liquid rubber needs to be well mixed with reinforcing fillers, softeners and curing agents. If the rubber is not to be filled with solid powder fillers and softeners but only curing agents and additives are added, it is mixed with a mechanical mixer, and if air is mixed in during mixing, it is necessary to place degassing under reduced pressure with a vacuum pump. Liquid rubber is widely used as adhesives, coatings, sealing materials, protective materials, modifiers and various industrial products.
