After plasticising, due to the strong mechanical force and oxidation, the molecular structure and molecular weight of the rubber will be changed to a certain extent, and thus the physicochemical properties will also be changed. The physical and chemical properties will also be changed. It is manifested in the following ways: elasticity decreases, plasticity increases, solubility increases, viscosity of rubber solution decreases, and adhesion property of rubber improves. However, as the plasticity of raw rubber increases, the mechanical strength of vulcanised rubber decreases, the permanent deformation increases, and the abrasion and aging resistance decreases. Therefore, the plasticity of raw rubber is only beneficial to the rubber processing, but not to the performance of vulcanised rubber.
