Wear-resistant rubber reinforcing filler should be how to choose

Reinforcing filler carbon black: small particle activated carbon black can effectively improve the abrasion resistance of rubber. Different varieties of carbon black have different effects on the performance of the formulation, such as HAF with lower abrasion, MPC, ISAF with superior performance in heat generation. Generally, the abrasion resistance of vulcanised rubber increases with decreasing particle size, increasing surface activity and dispersibility of carbon black.
Silica: 20nm silica as a white filler also improves the abrasion resistance of rubber. Silane coupling agent treated white carbon black can also improve the abrasion resistance of vulcanised rubber.
