Selection of rubber types for foamed rubber

Natural rubber and most of the synthetic rubber, EVA (ethylene vinyl acetate), high styrene, as well as rubber-plastic co-mingled thermoplastic elastomers, can be used to manufacture sponge rubber. Specific rubber selection, should be based on the use of products to determine the conditions. Ordinary sponge rubber is mainly selected from natural rubber, lower grade can use recycled rubber. Requirements for oil-resistant nitrile rubber, neoprene rubber, nitrile rubber / PVC, epoxide natural rubber, etc.. For heat and ozone resistance, EPDM rubber and silicone rubber can be used. The manufacture of microporous soles can use EVA or high styrene and general-purpose rubber, or nitrile rubber and polyvinyl chloride co-mingled. From the service life, technology, cost and other comprehensive considerations, the more ideal rubber is EPDM rubber, neoprene rubber. Natural rubber, styrene butadiene rubber, butyl rubber and its blends with plastics, mostly used in the manufacture of civil sponge rubber products. EPDM and Neoprene are mostly used to manufacture industrial sponge rubber products.
