Material matching
Temperature range: according to the use of environmental selection of materials (such as nitrile rubber oil resistance but temperature ≤ 120 ℃, silicone high temperature resistance but low strength).
Medium compatibility: contact with oil selection of nitrile rubber (NBR), strong acid and alkali environment with fluorine rubber (FKM), food-grade scenarios selection of silicone or EPDM (EPDM).
Hardness selection: High hardness (70-90 Shore A) for high sealing pressure, low hardness (40-60 Shore A) for elastic fit.
Structural Design
Cross-sectional shape: hollow sealing strip (such as O-type, D-type) is suitable for dynamic sealing, solid strip is suitable for static compression sealing.
Compression control: general compression 15-30%, excessive compression will lead to permanent deformation (such as O-ring compression rate > 30% easy to fail).
