Introduction of mineral oil resistance of oil-resistant rubber
05/03/2024News
NBR is a commonly used mineral oil resistant rubber. The mineral oil resistance of NBR increases with the increase of acrylonitrile content. However, the heat resistance of NBR with high acrylonitrile content is limited. When the oil temperature reaches 150 degrees Celsius, hydrogenated NBR, fluorine rubber FKM, fluorosilicone rubber FMVQ and acrylate rubber should be used. When the oil temperature reaches 150 degrees, fluorine rubber FKM, fluorosilicone rubber FMVQ is the best. But the cost is high, in order to reduce costs, can be incorporated into the fluorine rubber FKM less than 50% of the acrylate rubber, and after the vulcanization of the rubber performance decline of not more than 20%.
Acrylate rubber mineral oil resistance is better than NBR.
The principle of similar solubility: polar polymers dissolve in polar solvents, non-polar polymers dissolve in non-polar solvents. EPDM rubber belongs to hydrogen rubber, in the hydrogen oil in the extreme expansion, silicone rubber in silicone oil, fluoroelastomer in perfluorinated with hydrogen liquid, there is a great volume expansion.
