Is vulcanized rubber thermoplastic or thermosetting?
15/09/2023News
Elastomeric rubber materials can be divided into two main categories, thermoset rubber and thermoplastic rubber.
Thermoplastic rubber is a mixture of conventionally vulcanized or unvulcanized thermoset rubber (e.g., epdm ) and rigid thermoplastics (e.g., polypropylene or polystyrene). Thermoplastic
1, Styrene block copolymers ( sbs, sebs and sis).
2、Thermoplastic/Thermoset Rubber Blends ( tpv, tpo, pvc/nitrile ).
Thermoset rubber phase can be fully cured, partially cured or simple mechanical mixing.
3, and multi-part copolymers, including mechanical blends (polyurethane/rubber blends, nylon/rubber blends, polyester/rubber blends).
Natural and synthetic thermosetting rubbers, including epdm, sbr. nbr, and neoprene.
So usually vulcanized rubber is thermoplastic.
